Project Background

Chuanjiang 566 well is located in the southwest of Sinopec branch in western Sichuan. Designed well depth was 4700m, the oil and gas show dense, exited water layer and gas-water associated layer. If using 5 inch liner conventional cementing, the cementing quality unable be guaranteed, which will lead to the water layer and the lower gas layer communicate risk, and influence subsequent completion and production operations.

Solution

Utilize liner hanger with top packer to seal the 5 7/8” open hole, between the aquifer and the lower fractured gas layer, a high performance 4 1/2 " ECP is used.

Achievement

The operation is smooth, cementing quality is good, fully meet the requirements of test.
