Project Background

Reservoirs in Yada Oilfield are well developed with several pay zones, including two major ones, the upper major reservoir is featured by high corrosive gas and asphaltene content, the lower major reservoir with the characteristics of high temperature and pressure, high corrosive gas content, and potential solid phase production. According to the development plan, the initial production of the production wells for upper major reservoir was natural flow, when the formation energy decay to insufficient to meet the economic natural flow production, the use of continuous gas production mode to improve single well production.


Solution

According to formation lithology, physical properties and fluid properties, combined with gas development characteristics, using PIPESIM software to optimize the design of tubing size, gas capacity, gas lift valve and production string for gas lift production, designed to match the reservoir, gas lift, acidizing and production of integrated completion of the production string and relevant completion tools. The use of corrosion-resistant pipe, with double chemical injection valve design, ensure the corrosive, asphaltene fluid oil and gas wells can produce safely in long-term.


Achievement

Completed 24 wells design and operation, meet the original expectation, average daily production rate reach to 1500 bbl/day.
