Background

As a newly emerged technology, multilateral well was taken seriously in domestic oilfields. Many oilfields have lanunched lots of research and technology development, meanwhile, some test wells were drilled. Most of those wells were in Eastern Oilfield, and all those wells were shallow well.

TK908DH well was degined to be a two branches horizontal well, and its purpose was to develop triassic reservoir. Multilateral well can extend drainage area as large as possible and increase recovery. The two horizontal sections length were 450m and 500m. TD of the first lateral section is 5234.55m, displacement is 754.49m, TD of the second lateral is 5239.88m, displacement is 700m. Both of the two laterals RIH completion pipe strings which include casing and soltted casing, then performed cementing.

TK908DH is a deep multilateral horizontal well, the sidetracking depth is between 4085.17m and 4090.52m. It is the deepest well in Asia and the second deepest well in the world. It is a typical multilateral horizontal well which have successfully achieved both economic and environmental benefits.
