Baker 20# setting tool connection, conventional plug-and-pref technique, mature technology and simple operation.

Challenge:

Slacking off or presetting during pump-down operation, high risks and costs using CT milling and remove, which are difficult to handle.

Solution：

Petro-king recommended using “ThunderCloud” dissolving frac plugs instead of composite plugs, the plug offers the same technical performance of composite plug, but the entire plug-including the plug body, anchoring grip, and packing- element completely disintegrates in the presence of produced fluids and leaving a fullbore. We can pump high concentrations of KCL or acid down to the wellbore when presetting or can not be released, quickly dissolve the plug to avoid accidents such as cutting cables and workover.

The design of smaller outer diameter and larger inner diameter, making it easier for the plug pumping-down, on the other hand,reducing the risk of slacking off and presetting, a large flow-back passage allow immediately blowout and production after fracturing, also preventing debris from clogging production channels.

Evaluation and result:

After installing over 35 plugs, only once can not release for powder reason and was quickly dissolved by pumping down high concentrations of KCL, compared with composite plug “ThunderCloud” dissolvable plug has saved as much as 2.4 million and gained the customer's unanimous appreciation.
